I have over 20 years’ experience successfully helping people in crisis or difficulty, be they children, students, adults or families.
After achieving a BA in Psychology, I worked in the UK with children & families, helping young people in residential care rebuild their lives and look forward to a brighter future.
Later I moved to New York where I gained an MSc in Psychology. Whilst there I worked as a Counsellor & Academic Advisor to adults, lecturing in Psychology and running workshops on topics including Stress Management and Study Skills.
Upon returning to Ireland in 2006, I lectured in Psychology and as a tutor in Adult Education.
I continued with my personal and professional development by training as a Psychotherapist with The Tivoli Institute in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.
In addition to private practice, I have provided Counselling in NUI Galway as part of the Student Counselling Service.
Through my knowledge and understanding, in conjunction with my own personal experience of therapy, I truly believe I can help you in your journey towards a more enjoyable, fulfilling life.
I am a fully Accredited Member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). My work is covered by professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
